Northern Tanzania is the home to Africa’s highest peak, the endless plains of Serengeti National Park where the annual’s great migration take place and the mighty Ngorongoro Crater.

This tour takes you to all the famous hotspots of northern Tanzania from the Mount Kilimanjaro(taste of the Mountain),  Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Serengeti National park, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara to the Lake Victoria.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha

You will meet our driver/representative who will pick you from the Kilimanjaro International Airport on arrival and drop you in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Leave the lodge at 08.30 am, drive for about 90 minutes to Tarangire National Park. This park is often referred to as the “home of elephants”, you have a great chance to spot elephants in large groups gathering around the Tarangire River. Other animals to be spotted include leopards, lions, giraffes and even tree-climbing pythons!

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

Full Day of game safari in Tarangire National Park, during dry season(June-Oct, Dec-March) the only source of water remains Tarangire river which flows through the park where all animals are found. Game drives with optional of break during the afternoon takes us till late hours when you are driven back to accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Natron

Leave the lodge at 08.30 am right after breakfast and drive to Lake Natron, wild and remote, it is situated at the base of Africa’s only active volcano, Oldoinyo Lengai (the Mountain of God). The area around Lake Natron contains some of the most harsh and amazing scenery in Africa and is utterly breathtaking. Together with your Guide, you will be accompanied by a local Maasai Guide and walk up to the Engare Sero Waterfalls. Winding up through the shady gorge you will reach a beautiful natural swimming pool surrounded by steep rock walls showered by cascading spring water where you will have the opportunity to swim.

Day 5: Lake Natron

Lake Natron is one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. Home to millions of tiny crustaceans, the lake is a haven for literally thousands of flamingos and it is one of the most important flamingo breeding grounds on earth. It is the landscape rather than the animals that is the attraction – the area around the lake is dry, desolate and hauntingly beautiful. After breakfast you will walk out across the baked mud to the shores of the great Soda Lake. From here, you can look back at the memorizing view of Oldoinyo Lengai standing tall among the rolling hills and flat plains. Its ash-grey colour will remind you that this is still an active volcano.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

Early breakfast at 7.30 am. Game drive en route to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide for its endless plains, wildebeest-migration, herds of lions and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Dinner and overnight in the heart of Serengeti.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

Tour the northern, southern or Eastern (ndutu) part of Serengeti (depending on season and position of the great migration and big cats). A full day of game drives with optional of leisure time at the lodge.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park

With lunch boxes, proceed to the western corridor as you view game. Late afternoon, arrive at the Lake Victoria – the source of River Nile. Dinner and overnight at Speke Bay Lodge situated on the shores of this big famous Lake.

Day 9: Lake Victoria

Spend these two days either relaxing at the shores of the lake enjoying the cool breeze, or simply take a walk through the surrounding farm land, or a drive to the closest market. The features of this third-biggest lake in the world are as amazing as the reliance of the Egyptians’ livelihood on the Nile. One of the days here you will participate in boat/canoe safari and a walking safari All meals and overnight at the Speke Bay Lodge.

Day 10: Lake Victoria – Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro

After breakfast, take picnic lunches and drive Eastwards at a leisurely pace to Ngorogoro via the Oldupai Gorge. Late afternoon arrive at your lodge which is scenically located. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge/campsite or similar choice.

Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater

A full day in the Ngorongoro Crater. There is a very high possibility of spotting the big 5 in one day: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard. Lunch will take place at the picnic site at the crater floor. In the afternoon, drive to accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Lake Manyara National Park

A full day in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its green scenery, varied bird life, tree-climbing lions, hippos and baboons. Early sunrise game drive and picnic lunch. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha where you are dropped off at the hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 13: Arusha City Tour – Kilimanjaro International Airport

This is the last day of your Tanzania safari experience. After breakfast you will be picked up by our diver guide for Arusha city tour followed by shopping in various curio markets, visit to Tanzanite gemstone shops and lunch at one of the city center restaurants. After the city tour you will get back to your hotel to get prepared for your flight back home.
